Once Wes was diagnosed with cancer for the second time, we were overwhelmed to find out how much our community cared for us. There was an outpouring of financial support, love, concern, and most importantly prayers. Family, friends, co-workers, and members of the community started numerous fundraisers for us. Home cooked meals were even brought to our house. It was so touching to our family. After Wes passed away to be present with our Lord, events continued to take place to honor him. A musical concert was organized and started by the members of Forest Hills Baptist Church. Coach Mike Adams hosted a basketball game at F.J. Reitz High School. These events are planned to continue each year in honor of Wes. We hope to return the blessings that we were given. We know that Wes would have done the same if he were still with us.
